I just put a comment on your blog but I wanted to thank you personally. The photos you took that day were unbelievable and we only got to see but a few. I want to thank you also for capturing our “moment in the sun” as we started down the aisle. For me, it is one of those “timing” photos that you either catch or don’t, and you did! I am proud to see you using it on their lead-in. I will cherish that photo of my daughter and myself forever.

Can’t wait to see the rest of the photos! From a family’s perspective, it was a pleasure dealing with you that day, you were “gently assertive” (as we say in my business!) in that you knew what you wanted to capture but you were also very responsive to requests. Hi Don and Jill,

Chris and I just wanted to thank you both again for everything on our wedding day, and all the events and conversations leading up to the big day. You are such a wonderful team, we are so lucky to have found you.

We just adore so many of the photos, it has been so difficult already to pick out our favorites! You managed to capture so many of the perfect moments. The ones you took of us at Burba Lake turned out incredibly, and all the photos for the Arch of Sabres ceremony look amazing. The weather really lucked out for us that day, the clouds in the sky and the rays of light in some of the pictures just look almost unreal in some of the shots. We just love every picture you took.

And I still cannot believe how quickly you were able to get all of these posted up on Pictage. Our site was available before some of our friends whose wedding was months ago! That was just so impressive, and we can't thank you enough for that since it was such a thrill to log in and check out all of the pictures from the wedding. Especially since you have so many great shots of our family and guests having fun in moments that Chris and I were not even around to see!!

We just felt so comfortable with the two of you. Don, it was so great to have already had spent time with you for our engagement shots down in Annapolis, and I think it really made the actual wedding day much more relaxed. Not to mention exciting since we knew how amazing the photos would be after getting to see hundreds of beautiful shots you had already taken of us around Annapolis. Dear Don and Jill,

It was a pleasure to meet you and terrific to have you photograph my daughter's wedding. It was a great day and a great wedding which you managed to catch perfectly. Don, you are a true artist... some of the pictures take my breath away....all the ones at the lake and the one at the back of the church as they exit for the arch of swords... and so many more. Everyone who goes to pictage.com just calls me raving about how good you are.

Jill, you were such a help to us girls. It was soooooooooo reassuring to have you there to direct and help us when we were confused not to mention arranging her train countless times. You have alot of knowledge which we really apprecitated (I've told everyone I know about watching out for the tires on the limo). PLUS it was really great just to talk with you. I want to tell you so many of my lfriends have said that the shot of Lisa at the house with her hands on chin and legs showing is one of their favorites. It is so cute.

Don caught the love between them. You can just see it in their eyes. And thank god he got the shot of the geese in formation because Lisa and Chris were in the limo and didn't even know. My mystical sister thinks this is a sign from God. I think the great weather was a sign from God.

I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you SO MUCH for the
postings of the engagement photos. We looked at them all this morning,
and we absolutely love them!! I do not even know yet which are our
favorites, and I don’t know how we will ever pick one for the framed
signature board!! I can’t believe we lucked out with the lighting and
the weather so much that day, and the shots you took are from such great
angles and you captured so many fun moments.
I already showed my mom these photos, and she was completely amazed, and
told us we were so lucky to have found such a great photographer (I had
shown her your site before we met with you in person as well, and she
had loved all of those on your site. But she was just so excited with
our pictures!!!)
We have been working on getting all of the final plans done for the
wedding, and I am getting excited. But I am REALLY excited now because

We really can't say enough about how happy we are with the engagement pictures, they are simply wonderful. Doug and I had the best time during the shoot, and the majority of that can be attributed to you, and how easy and fun you made things for us, which we greatly appreciate. Our families were stunned at how amazing the photos turned out, and are currently arguing over which ones they want to order. They look great – I ordered both of them!  The dvd arrived yesterday and it is absolutely fantastic!  I am taking it to the hospital tonight to share with my mother.  I can’t get over how great all of the pictures are.  Just looking through them or watching the dvd is like being back there again, and they always make me smile! Did I tell you my oldest son (the only one whose wedding you didn’t photograph because he got married first, in upstate Pennsylvania) told his two remaining unmarried sisters that they both have to get married locally so he can see you and Jill again at their weddings?!  It just wouldn’t be the same without you!

Don - WOW! First of all! What incredible turn around time to have all these pictures back in just a little over a week!

The pictures far exceed our expectations! They are so beautiful. You are so talented! I just love your style and flair! Your pictures are not your typical cookie cutter wedding photographs which is what I truly love about them as I did want to even come close to a cookie cutter type wedding in any way! Your photojournalists approach shines through and your pictures tell a story which makes them even more beautiful! Your style and approach were evident in our engagement pictures and even more so in our wedding shots. I have actually been feeling a big let down and a little sad that it all came and went so fast and is all over. Don was great to work with! On my wedding day there was one thing I didn't want to worry about which was the photos. I didn't want to carry my camera around and I didn't. Don captured everything perfectly. He and his assistant were amazing. The best part of it all was when I returned home from my honeymoon all the pictures were online to view. I am still having a hard time picking out my favorites because they are all great! I highly recommend using D. Bryant Photography. Everything was wonderful from our first meeting to the engagement setting to designing my bridal album. I have not heard more compliments on wedding photos than I have on my own.

I would HIGHLY recommend Don at D. Bryant Photography (http://www.dbryantphoto.com)! When my wife and I got married 2 years ago, Don was recommended by a friend as someone that we HAD to meet. And when we met him, we knew why! I have never met anyone as excited about about what they do as Don was.

Don was great with out guests, his creativity was masterful, and he was very nonintrusive. We also had him do our engagement photos and got rave reviews. Of all the vendors that we used (DJ, caterers, florist, cake maker, etc), Don was the easiest and most pleasurable to work with and was the best with our guests (our guests kept coming up to us and complimenting us on Don's personality and how much fun he was). After our wedding, Don put all of our photos up on his website (in a password protected section) for all of our guests to view.

We recommend him as a photographer to everyone and after their initial meeting with him, they tell us that they don't need to look any further.
I would recommend him to anyone!

If there was ever a day that Zac and I felt like movie stars, it was our wedding day. From the moment that I saw your photos several years ago of Kelly’s wedding, I knew that when I got engaged, you were the photographer team I wanted to have capture the best moments of our lives. And we weren’t disappointed!
There are many reasons why I would say that you, as a team, are the best photographers I have worked with. Not only do you produce beautiful, stunning, and at times, surreal photos, but you seek to understand the personalities and the individual nuances that make the couple who they are. I know this took time and energy, and you and Jill spent quality time corresponding and meeting with us in Annapolis prior to the wedding, immediately before the wedding, and during the entire day of the wedding. We felt as though you were family, and it was a natural experience having you and Jill mingling with us and our other guests, all the while catching these moments in time.
In addition to your personal nature, we were struck by your desire for excellent photography. You were able to judge lighting, movement, and situations to best frame the subject. This takes skill when working with a static subject, however, the wedding environment was fast paced and not always conducive to well lit shots. Somehow, though, you were able to find the angle and moment to create artistic, high-quality action photos, all the while not getting in the way of the action.
Zac and I have and will highly recommend D.Bryant Photography to our friends, family, and other people seeking a personable and knowledgeable photographer. I have to admit, though, that my friends and family did not need our recommendation to seek out your services, because the photos speak for themselves. Hi Don! The pictures are FANTASTIC!!! I was finally able to look through all
of them (took me awhile to figure out I could make the picture big and not
thumbnail ---I'm just a bit computer-challenged!) I got a kick out the fun
photos like the groom and groomsmen jumping for joy, or the bridesmaids
kissing Duane on the cheek. The laughter on Kristin's face when the
groomsmen picked her up was GREAT, especially the look on the skinny guy's
face! I have to admit I'm not a fan of black & white pics, I think because
I grew-up with black and white photography, but REALLY liked the shots you
made. My favorite was the very last one with Kristin & Duane with the
umbrella, and the one walking down the sidewalk was so cool--it looked like
snow on the trees.
The picture of Kristin looking at the Chapel gave me goosebumps--that was a
great shot.There are so many favorites. I would love to have snooped around
up in the choir loft too--a great idea to take a picture of the knobs on the
organ, the crucifix, and stained glass windows.
When I went to my niece's wedding a couple years ago (she was the girl with
the video camera), her photographer took pictures as a hobby and sold them
at craft/art shows. She was married in a Greek Orthodox church in Wash.DC
and I noticed him taking pictures of the architecture/statues,etc. He told
me "It's amazing what you see ,if you only look up instead of what is just
infront of you." Ever since then I've "noticed" other things. I was tickled
to see that you did too. That makes if fun and special. If you get a chance
to wander around the Yard, there are alot of really neat architectural
features. (The one that gives me the creeps though are the faces in the
waves on the submarine monument near Dahlgren.)
I have so thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and Jill. Thank you both again for
all your hard work in capturing Kristin's wedding on film....memories to

A photographer is one of the most important people during a wedding, not because of what he or she contributes to the day, but because of the life and detail that the photography brings to memories for years and generations to come.

DBryant Photography gave us everything we hoped for in a final product; moreover, working with Don and Jill was great experience even in itself.

Don and Jill worked with us on three separate occasions, for Rhiana’s bridal portraits, our engagement portraits, and the wedding itself. We were very pleased with all three, for the following reasons:

Enthusiasm. The first thing we noticed when interviewing Don was the fact that he loves his work and puts great effort into making his clients happy. This drive to give us the best possible product and experience lasted from the initial interview to the portrait session, the wedding day, all even the way through the album design and delivery process.

Flexibility. Not only was Don willing to try ideas that Rhiana and I came up with, but he even went out and bought a special lens just so he could give us a specific shot that we wanted of the wedding. Don also changed his long-made plans for wedding day photography because we wanted to try something different. Also, during the design of our album, we had three different rounds of adding and adjusting the way we wanted our album, and Don was happy to fulfill our wishes each time.

Local Knowledge. As newcomers to Annapolis, we were just expecting that our portraits and photography would be centered on the studio, the church and the reception site. However, Don and Jill were familiar with wonderful spots for pictures, and had grand ideas for us, including Quiet Waters Park, The Naval Academy, Historic Annapolis, St. Mary’s Church and the Waterfront.

Professionalism. An excellent photographer, Don made numerous recommendations on how our pictures would be much improved throughout the process. In addition, Jill had a wonderful eye for detail and positioning during our portrait shoots. Both kept us comfortable and were well prepared for the sessions.

Quality Product. As the most important aspect of hiring a photographer, the final products we received –including both portrait sets, the wedding albums, and other individually ordered pictures – are all beautiful. Our pictures ranged from candid shots that captured the real events and atmosphere of the day to beautiful artistic portraits that have been entered into photography contests and appear on DBryant’s website.

Rhiana and I would highly recommend DBryant photography to anyone looking for event photography, portrait session, or professional products, especially in, but not limited to, the Annapolis area. The memories Don and Jill helped us to capture and enhance were wonderful, as we hoped for, and the experience was special as well.

Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much we appreciated our experience with D. Bryant Photography on our wedding day. The professionalism and enthusiasm with which you approach your job was most impressive. Needless to say, June 26th was a rather chaotic day for both of us.
